To reconcile what might seem contradictory, to bring together what seemed incompatible, it took all the experience of Garcia Yachts, the know-how of its teams, the intelligence of our partners, architect and designer, to propose a new way to explore the world: the Explocat 52.
Twin aluminium hulls with shallow draft, built to withstand all the hazards of the most magical long-distance voyages, with bows that can brave all storms, in complete serenity, the Explocat 52 is perfectly in line with the historical Garcia lineage.

Interior Design
With glazing which offers a panoramic view from every part of the saloon, the Explocat 52 offers all the functional advantages of a catamaran on an exploration yacht.
Reaching the northernmost latitudes, the most remote islands, can be achieved in unequalled comfort. Insulation, equipment, woodwork and upholstery are all to the most exacting standards sailors demand from the Exploration range.
From the interior helm station, you will of course enjoy the magnificent environment around you, keep watch, and be able to maintain your course on your Explocat 52, nicely warm and dry, whatever the weather may be doing.
The dimensions and brightness of the saloon, galley, cabins and bathrooms, in all the configurations offered or in the one you have designed, are unparalleled. Moving around between these different private spaces, or to the outside, directly to the vast aft cockpit, or via the solid watertight door opening onto the forward cockpit, is exceptional.

Sturdy & Confortable
Suited for long distance cruising, the Explocat 52′ is designed to sail long distance in the best conditions of safety, comfort and performance. Extremely resistant to perforation and tear while remaining lightweight, aluminium is the most adapted material for long distance cruising boats. Fitted to includes all essential equipment for long distance cruising (technical room, large storage capacities, spacious and functional accomodations), this catamaran provides self-sufficiency over long distances.
Easy & Pleasant to sail
Performance has been taken into account from conception with thin hulls and light weight accomodation. Boarding and life on board facilitated by two side doors integrated on the bullwark at cockpit and saloon level. There is also an acces from the saloon to the forward cockpit, creating a new area which can be enjoyed both at anchor and under sail.
Cabin layout
Inspired by the technical solutions developed on the monohull range Garcia Exploration, the Explocat 52′ will be equipped to face demanding sailing conditions with tehermal and acoustic insulated hulls, deck and floor. In addition to the 3 versions of layouts, the aluminium structure allows the shipyard to adpat and customize the interior layouts and installations according the owners. Wether the 3 cabins, 4 cabins or Charter version, the Explocat 52′ offers to the long cruising sailors or professional charter, a high level of security, comfort and seaworthy under all latitudes.
