Moody 38 CC built 1994 by Marine Projects, UK to Bill Dixon design. Popular and highly respected Centre Cockpit cruiser. Shoal bulb keel (ideal for the shallows and canals), wheel steering, Accom for 6/7 in 2 double cabins & saloon, two heads. Powered by 50hp Volvo (2,873hrs), sloop rigged (2009) with Hyde in-mast furling main, genoa sails, solar panels 300w, batteries 2021/22. Holding tank, Hercules tender (2021). Long term British ownership. One of (perhaps the) best Moody 38 we have seen! VAT paid. £77,950
Spring 2024 - All the usual winter servicing & maintenance has been carried out, the owners will be back on board (late April 24) for general systems check over etc. & engine run up.
Of extra note this Moody 38 (being under 12m) is one of the larger yachts with proven ocean-going capabilities still to be conveniently within the (super cheap) TEPAI lower band as she is below the 12m cut off, an attractive cruising bonus...........

The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
Bought by the current British owners in the UK 2008. Since then they have sailed from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Northern France, River Seine, the French Canals, Rhone, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and Greece where she has been for some years.
Engine run to temp and all was well.
Outflow of water from the exhaust was very good.
FYI The impeller in the cooling system has not been changed nor has the fuel filter.
Engine oil and filter were changed at the end of last season
Holding tank was emptied and cleaned by the yard.
The solar panels are connected as are the batteries.
