On the Allures 45.9S, it is the lifting keel, with a slightly bulbous shape, that carries the ballast with a lower centre of gravity. The boat gains nearly 2 tons compared to the full dinghy version. The carbon mast and rod rigging further lighten the overall package, making the boat even faster and more enjoyable at sea. And the limited draft with the keel raised still allows access to remote anchorages!
